AFSOC vice commander completes 'fini' flight

The vice commander for Air Force Special Operations Command flew his 'fini' flight in a CV-22 Osprey here March 24, 2017.

Maj. Gen. Eugene Haase will culminate 34 years of service in a retirement ceremony April 10. Final or “fini flights” are a military aviation tradition which marks a pilot’s retirement from the Air Force. His final mission included low-level pass and aerial refueling by an MC-130H Combat Talon II.

He is a command pilot with more than 3,600 flying hours in a variety of aircraft, including the CV-22 Osprey and the MH-53 Pavelow helicopter.
