A 6th Special Operations Squadron UH-1N Huey helicopter flies the pattern at Hurlburt Field, Fla.  The 6th SOS is the only unit in the Department of Defense to perform the aviation foreign internal defense mission.  Combat aviation FID advisors at the 6th advise, train and assist friendly nations in their organic aircraft.  As such, 6th SOS Air Commandos operate aircraft commonly found in foreign air forces. Staff Sgt. Sara Klobucar, a weather technician from the 353rd Operations Support Squadron at Kadena Air Base, Japan, uses a laser range finder to complete an airfield survey at Mactan Air Base, Philippines.  During her weather observation, she determines quadrant markers and landmarks that can be used to determine the required visibility to ensure safe flight.  In the background is a Combat Talon II, assigned to the 353 SOG and flown by members of the 1st Special Operations Squadron, also from Kadena, preparing for takeoff. Airman 1st Class Travis Dalton provides security for an MH-53 Pave Low helicopter during an exercise on 22 Feb.  Airman Dalton is a combat controller in the Advanced Skills Training Program at Hurlburt Field, Fla.  The exercise was filmed for the next series of Air Force commercials.  Theme of the commercials will be "Do something amazing."  The film crew also shot footage of AC-130U Spooky gunship, Combat Control Team and MC-130 Combat Talon operations, as well as a Special Tactics High Altitude Low Opening parachute jump during their visit to Hurlburt.
