MSgt. John Chapman honored with aircraft dedication

Valerie Nessel, widow of U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. John A. Chapman, poses with a plaque of Chapman on a C-32 assigned to the 89th Airlift Wing on Oct. 26, 2018, at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The C-32 was dedicated to Chapman, a Special Tactics combat controller, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary heroism during the Battle of Takur Ghar in March 2002, while deployed to Afghanistan. President Donald Trump presented the Medal of Honor to Nessel during a White House ceremony on Aug. 22, 2018. (U.S. photo by Staff Sgt. Ryan Conroy)
