U.S. airmen with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron and U.S. soldiers with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) teamed up for personnel recovery training utilizing alternate infiltration and exfiltration training on Wynnehaven Beach, Fla., April 9, 2013. The 160th SOAR, also known as "Night Stalkers," is a special operations force of the U.S. Army that provides helicopter aviation support for general purpose and special operations forces. Maj. Francis Damon Friedman, the director of operations at the 21st Special Tactics Squadron, Pope Field, N.C., smashed the cab window to gain access to the driver of this Toyota Tundra Jan. 29, 2013 who veered off the road into a tree-lined ditch. Friedman was the first responder on scene, applying First Aid and remaining in the truck with the victim until medics could extricate her from the vehicle. (Courtesy photo)
