Chief Master Sergeant CORY M. OLSON

Chief Master Sergeant Cory M. Olson is the Command Chief Master Sergeant of Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Florida. The command is a major command of the U.S. Air Force and the Air Force component to U.S. Special Operations Command. The command has approximately 20,800 Total Force Airmen across 10 operational wings and two special operations groups. Chief Olson advises the commander on the readiness, training, education, and resiliency of the enlisted force. He has held leadership positions at the squadron, group, wing, major command and Combatant Command levels.

Chief Olson entered the Air Force in September 1991. He is a chief enlisted aircrew member with more than 7,500 flying hours as instructor and evaluator loadmaster in the C-141B, C-17A, C-130E/H and various other aircraft. His assignments include bases in Washington, South Carolina, Florida, New Mexico, Wisconsin and other locations. Chief Olson has taken part in various humanitarian operations and has deployed multiple times in support of contingency and combat operations in Africa, the Balkans, Central and South America, Southwest Asia and the Pacific regions.
