CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- On Oct. 24, 2022, Plains Regional Medical Center Pharmacy and Roden-Smith are leaving the Tricare market. This change means that patients are no longer covered at the two pharmacies and will have to pay out of pocket if their medications get dispensed.

The pharmacies currently available for patients are Cannon Air Force Base, Walgreens (Clovis), Farmer’s Pharmacy (Portales), and Village Pharmacy (Portales).

If a patient already has active prescriptions at PRMC or Roden-Smith, they can pick the pharmacy of their choice and have their medications transferred.

The Cannon AFB Pharmacy have modified their services to better provide for their patients. They have increased their daily hours to include the lunch hour.

Here are some of the reasons why Cannon AFB Pharmacy is a great choice for you and your family:

· Flexible and dependable hours of operation.

              -  Hours of Operation: 0730 -1700

              -  Open: Mon-Friday

              -  Closed: Training Days (typically the first Friday of the month), Family Days, and Federal Holidays

· Dependent’s prescriptions require no co-pay

· If the medication is approved and covered by Tricare, it can be ordered and filled

· New prescriptions can be activated over the phone

· The text program will notify patients when their prescription is ready and allow the option to speak to staff to activate a prescription. To sign up for the text program set up your patient profile at the pharmacy.
