Pivotal component of AFSOC's ability to provide airpower to conduct special operations missions worldwide. Primary mission is to rapidly plan and execute specialized and contingency operations in support of national priorities.

Hurlburt Field, Florida

Primary mission of 24 SOW is to provide Special Tactics forces for rapid global employment to enable air power success. The 24 SOW is SOCOM's tactical air-ground integration force and the Air Force's special operations ground force to enable Global Access, Precision Strike, Personnel Recovery and Battlefield Surgery.

The 27th Special Operations Wing's core missions include close air support, agile combat support, information operations, precision strike, forward presence and engagement, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations, and specialized mobility.

Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England

As the only Air Force special operations unit in the European Theater, the 352 SOW executes specialized airpower and air-ground integration in support of AFSOC and Special Operations Command-Europe objectives.

Kadena Air Base, Japan

The 353rd SOW is the focal point for special operations aviation activities throughout the Pacific. Under operational control of the commander, Special Operations Command Pacific, the wing plans and executes general war and contingency operations using advanced aircraft, tactics and techniques.

The 492nd Special Operations Wing is currently transforming from a training wing into an AFSOC power projection wing capable of executing SOF strike; SOF mobility; SOF intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; and SOF air-to-ground integration.

Will Rogers ANG Base, Oklahoma

A force provider for geographic combatant commanders, special operations command, theatre special operations commanders and task forces with manned intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, close air support, agile combat support, cyber, and aeromedical evacuation.

Harrisburg International Airport, Pennsylvania

Provides highly trained, multi-capable, relevant, and resilient combat and support forces…anytime, anywhere, all-purpose. In peacetime, the unit serves under the governor of Pennsylvania, bolstering missions such as support to civilian authorities during natural disaster or homeland security. In wartime or in a contingency, it reports to Air Force Special Operations Command at Hurlburt Field, Florida, its gaining major command.

Duke Field, Florida

The 919th SOW, in association with the 492nd SOW, provides operations and maintenance personnel to support the non-standard aviation program for Air Force Special Operations Command through the use of the  C-146A aircraft. It also employs the MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial system in a geographically separated association with the 65th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, Florida
