America’s High Plains Air Commandos! Y’all are rockin’ it!
CMSgt Smith and I had an awesome time with our #AirCommados at Cannon Air Force Base!
Great two days spent at Cannon visiting and recognizing our Airmen. Couldn’t be more proud!! Also had the pleasure to address our community partners in Portales and Clovis to celebrate their Great American Defense Community award!!
Our Air Commandos think differently. Everyday they find innovative, inventive, and imaginative solutions to complex problem-sets. Not only do they break glass, they shatter ceilings! ... exactly what this command and our Nation is counting on them to do.
Check out General Clarke's testimony!
Extremely proud of this Air Commando for earning the Silver Star AND a Bronze Star with Valor. Way to go Cam!
Lt Col Richard E. (Dick) Cole passed away today at age 103. He was an Air Commando that understood the responsibility of freedom. He was the last surviving member of the Doolittle Raiders and as Jimmy Doolittle's co-pilot he was aboard the first B-25 bomber to leave the USS Hornet to strike back at Imperial Japan following Pearl Harbor. He was, in every sense of the word, a hero. You sometimes have to fight for your liberty. He carried that fight forward to the China-Burma-India Theater throughout World War II. He was a living legend, a participant in our storied history and a founding member of our Air Commandos. I had the privilege of getting to know him in his later years and he is a part of the AFSOC family. A grateful nation joins the Cole family in paying tribute to a true American hero.
Thank you for the opportunity 919th Special Operations Wing and thank you for being great leaders!
Air Commandos and one of our MC-130Js on combat resupply drop in Afghanistan!
Nice showing Team Talon II at Hurlburt Spouses’ Auction last night! Not gonna lie, “Ann” is a bit creepy...but, all for a good cause!
