MARSOC commander gets AFSOC orientation

A small element of Marine Raiders received an Air Force special ops aviation orientation Oct. 27, 2016, here.

Maj. Gen. Carl E. Mundy III, commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, met with Air Force Special Operations Command leaders then briefly toured aircraft assigned to the 1st Special Operations Wing. This was Mundy’s first visit to Hurlburt and AFSOC since he took command of MARSOC July 28, 2016.

Mundy’s primary objective was to gain a deeper understanding of AFSOC capabilities, operations. His secondary objective is to facilitate discussion about AFSOC and Marine Corps special operations interoperability.
