MSgt. John Chapman honored with aircraft dedication
The family of U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. John Chapman and leaders from Air Force Special Operations Command and Hurlburt Field await the arrival of Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein, on Oct. 26, 2018, at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Chapman, a Special Tactics combat controller, was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary heroism during the Battle of Takur Ghar in March 2002 while deployed to Afghanistan. President Donald Trump presented the Medal of Honor to Nessel during a White House ceremony on Aug. 22, 2018.
