AFSOC announces Air Force Civil Engineer Award winners

The Air Force announced the 2006 Air Force Civil Engineer Award winners this week.

Air Force Special Operations Command winners include:

Lt. Col. Douglas Hardman, commander, 16th Civil Engineer Squadron, Hurlburt Field - Major General L. Dean Fox Award (Formerly the Outstanding Civil Engineer Senior Military Manager)

Runners-up for other awards are:

Aaron Grindland, 16th CES/CEFO, Hurlburt Field - Outstanding Civil Engineer Civilian Technician

Carl (Tim) Hoffman, HQ AFSOC/A7CV, Hurlburt Field - Outstanding Community Planner

In addition to AFSOC, winners from the 27th Fighter Wing at Cannon AFB, N.M., include:

Capt. Alesandra Neiman, 27th CES/CEC, Cannon AFB, N.M. - Major General Augustus M. Minton Award (Outstanding AFCE Article)

27th CES, Cannon AFB, N.M. - Brigadier General Archie S. Mayes Award (Air Force Civil Engineer Engineering Flight)

27th CES, Cannon AFB, N.M.- Major General Clifton D. Wright Award (Air Force Civil Engineer Operations Flight)

Cannon Air Force Base will become an AFSOC base October 1, 2007.
