AFSOC chief visits Cannon

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The 27th Special Operations Wing welcomed Chief Master Sgt. William Turner, Air Force Special Operations Command command chief, upon his arrival at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., Nov. 13.

Turner's tour of Cannon started at the Pecos Trail Dining Facility where he spoke to Cannon's first sergeants as they assembled food baskets for Airmen in need this Thanksgiving season. He then visited the new dormitories, where he spoke with dormitory Airmen and viewed their living quarters.

The AFSOC command chief's visit also included a trip to the Community Center recreation zone, lunch at the Landing Zone and a tour of the tower with a view of all the latest construction taking place at Cannon. The day ended when Turner spoke to the Air Commandos in Airmen Leadership School, offering them sound guidance and encouragement in their future endeavors.
