Four Airmen will represent Air Force Special Operations Command in competition for the 2015 League of United Latin American Citizens Excellence in Service awards.

The command’s nominees, announced May 12, 2015, are:

- Capt. Daniel Jackson, 319th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, FL

- Master Sgt. Anthony Thompson, Jr., 27th Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron, Cannon AFB, NM

- Tech. Sgt. Rebeca Martin, 352nd Special Operations Support Squadron, RAF Mildenhall, U.K.

- Staff Sgt. Melissa Perry, 27th Special Operations Wing, Cannon

A total of 14 awards are presented annually by LULAC, and this year’s winners will be announced in July from Salt Lake City.

These awards honor military members and DoD civilian employees who supported the DoD mission, Overseas Contingency Operations and demonstrated role model qualities and the core values of their respective military service. Their outstanding accomplishments make them truly deserving of this prestigious recognition, and they will now compete at the Air Force level.
