HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work visited here Jan. 6 as an orientation to Air Force Special Operations Command mission. The secretary toured several AFSOC aircraft and learned how Airmen contribute to national security objectives.

Work, who served 27 years as a U.S. Marine Corps officer, was confirmed as the 32nd deputy secretary of defense in April 2014.
