Emerald Warrior ends week 1

HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. --

Assembled forces operated as a cohesive organization in the first week of Emerald Warrior 2017.

The two-week irregular warfare exercise melds U.S. and partner-nation military forces through tactical scenarios designed to strengthen joint warfighting relationships and perfect skills used downrange.

Week one’s activities included scenarios for item and personnel recovery, infiltration and exfiltration operations, direct assaults, military freefall, live-fire events, and Forward Area Refueling Points (FARP).

The exercise is scheduled to end March 10.
