HURLBURT FIELD, Fla -- Air Commandos, families and friends,
Memorial Day allows us to remember the men and women who have given their lives in our nation's wars, defending our freedoms and democracy.
Fresh in my memory are the names and faces of my wingmen, Airmen, and friends who we honor this holiday weekend. I lack the words to express how their legacy of service drives me personally and, in turn, fuels my commitment to this command's people and mission.
To our Gold Star families, we humbly thank you for the overwhelming price your family members have paid for this great nation.
For all Air Commandos, during this holiday, please remember your friends, colleagues and family in ways worthy of their sacrifice.
