Greg Lengyel 1 SOW Commander HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- Air Commandos, I'm grateful for the sacrifices you make every day in service to your country. You are our most important resource. Because of you, the Air Commandos of the 1st Special Operations Wing take the fight to the enemy in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other locations around the globe night after night. Because of you the rest of America can sleep well at night. Without you, the mission fails. You are critical to the successful accomplishment of our mission. Make responsible choices as you celebrate this holiday season, and take care of each other. We need you to come back safely. I'm honored to be leading the most dedicated, selfless, motivated group of Airmen that comprises the most relevant wing in the U.S. Air Force. I'm also grateful for your families and the sacrifices they make every day that allow you to serve. They are our unsung heroes. This holiday season, as you find yourself surrounded by family and friends, please take a moment to remember all the men and women of all branches of the service who will spend this Christmas away from home. I ask you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Finally, my family and I wish you and your families a joyous holiday season. Be safe, and see you in 2009!
