Laser range finder

Staff Sgt. Sara Klobucar, a weather technician from the 353rd Operations Support Squadron at Kadena Air Base, Japan, uses a laser range finder to complete an airfield survey at Mactan Air Base, Philippines. During her weather observation, she determines quadrant markers and landmarks that can be used to determine the required visibility to ensure safe flight. In the background is a Combat Talon II, assigned to the 353 SOG and flown by members of the 1st Special Operations Squadron, also from Kadena, preparing for takeoff. Both squadrons, part of the 353rd Special Operations Group, were participating in Balance Piston, a joint combined exchange training event at Mactan. (USAF photo by Master Sgt. Marilyn Holliday)
