Cash for trash
A automotive worker at the recycling plant moves pallets of recycled items to storage. Hurlburt Field has a world-class recycling program. Hurlburt's program educates, recycles and then reinvests in the community. More than 900,000 of metal and 1.7 million pounds of cardboard were recycled in 2006, returning $350,000 to Hurlburt's quality-of-life programs. (U.S. Air Force Photograph by Dylan Laurie)
