Cobra Gold

Staff Sgt. Harold Warr II, special tactics rigger and drop zone controller for personnel from the 320th Special Tactics Squadron, makes contact via portable radio with a 353rd Special Operations Group MC-130 pilot. As the DZ controller, Sergeant Warr communicates winds and clearance data from the DZ back to the pilot and jumpmaster. Sergeant Warr transmitted similar information from the water drop zone while aboard a Zodiac boat. The 320th STS members were participating in Cobra Gold 2006 at U-Taphao, Thailand.
