3 SOS earns AFSOC Squadron of the Year honors

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Air Force Special Operations Command commander Lt. Gen Donald C. Wurster (right) presents the 2008 AFSOC Squadron of the Year trophy to Lt. Col. Bob W. Brock, 3rd Special Operations Squadron commander, during the AFSOC commanders visit to Cannon May 26. Among the squadron's achievements were its successful efforts to move from Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., to Cannon with no degradation of mission capability or 24/7 support to fighting Overseas Contingency Operations as well as its people's efforts assisting and improving the communities where they've lived.
