R. An upcoming episode of the show focuses on Air Force Special Operations Command. "Gunny" Ermey, a retired Marine, is well known both for hosting the show and for his role as a tough-as-nails drill instructor in the film "Full Metal Jacket." He fired a variety of weapons at the range and even prepared what he called "fifty calibre fruit salad" by disintegrating a watermelon at long range with a Barrett rifle more often used to destroy unexploded ordnance on the battlefield.
