Kadena Airmen deploy to Philippines

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Tech. Sgt. Keith Kleinert, from the 33rd Rescue Squadron, dons his helmet before boarding a HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter for a mission to the Philippines on Dec. 9. Three HH-60s from the 33rd RQS, two MC-130 Combat Shadows from the 353rd Special Operations Group and a 909th Air Refueling Squadron KC-135 Stratotanker launched from here to provide humanitarian assistance to nearly 170,000 people displaced by Typhoon Nanmadol.
