Pacific Air Commandos, Kadena Airmen recognized for ocean rescue
KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Col. David Mullins, the 353rd Special Operations Group Commander, pins an Air Force Commendation Medal on Capt. Jonathan Harmon, 31st Rescue Squadron, here Feb. 19 for his efforts during a September 2008 rescue mission on a ship in the Pacific Ocean. Capt. Harmon was one of two key planners who coordinated all mission-specific requirements to enable the combined rescue team and provided command and control by making time-sensitive decisions throughout the operation.
