Air Commandos train on Korean peninsula
OSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Senior Airman Meagan Freeman (left) and Airman 1st Class Jed Bilibei, both loadmasters with the 17th Special Operations Squadron, send signals from the back of a MC-130P Combat Shadow to the crew of a U.S. Army MH-47 helicopter from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) during an aerial refueling mission near the Korean peninsula Feb. 12. Sixteen members from the 17th SOS, the 353rd Special Operations Group Forward Area Refueling Point Team, 353rd Maintenance Squadron and Detachment 3 of 25th Intelligence Squadron, conducted training in the Republic of Korea Feb. 9 - 12 to ensure they are ready to fulfill their duties as the only Air Force special operations unit permanently assigned in the U.S. Pacific Command theater.
