SOG Airmen train with Marines
KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Staff Sgt. Steve Pressler, a 1st Special Operations Squadron loadmaster, discusses flight plans with Maj. John Rensel, a 1st SOS pilot and the mission commander, in the back of a MC-130H Combat Talon II. The 1st SOS conducted a training mission with Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit Detachment 18 at Ie Shima Island Jan. 14. Crews from the 1st SOS constantly train with U.S. and allied forces to hone their capabilities to infiltrate, exfiltrate and resupply forces in austere, denied or hostile territory.
