KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- A Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape specialist assigned to the 353rd Operations Support Squadron, discusses how to navigate around an impassible obstacle during a basic land navigation course Oct. 24 at a training site near here. Participants learned basic principles of land navigation including map reading, how to use a compass, and pace counting during the training.
