1 SOW leadership tours Lockheed Martin
Senior leaders from the 1st Special Operations Wing tour a Lockheed Martin factory in Crestview, Fla., Oct. 24, 2016. The manufacturers are modifying four MC-130J Commando II aircraft to become AC-130J Ghostrider gunships. The AC-130J was developed to provide ground forces an expeditionary, direct-fire platform that is persistent, ideally-suited for urban operations and delivers precision, low-yield munitions against ground targets.
