Legacy lost: the 524th Special Operations Squadron moves on
Members of the 524th Special Operations Squadron render salutes during an end of mission ceremony at the 27th Special Operations Wing building May 31, 2017 at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. The 524th is relocating to Duke Field, Florida, where the command will change hands from the 27th SOW to the 492nd SOW. The ceremony is also historical as the 524th is the last remaining squadron on the base that has original ties to the 27th SOW. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Michael Washburn/Released)
