1st SOMXG hosts Load Crew of the Year Competition

Members of the 4th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, assigned to the 1st Special Operations Maintenance Group, compete for the title of 2022 Weapons Load Crew of the Year, Jan. 31, 2022, at Hurlburt Field, Florida. During the competition, a load crew from the 4th AMU and the 73rd AMU were evaluated as they loaded two AGM-114 Hellfire missiles onto an AC-130J Ghostrider gunship and inspected one can of 30mm ammunition all in under 25 minutes.
