    Air Force Capt. Matthew Roland, 23rd Special Tactics Squadron, posthumously received the Silver Star today for actions taken during an ambush Aug. 26, 2015, in Afghanistan. Roland's family accepted the decoration on behalf of the fallen Special Tactics officer.
