    WEPTAC 2021: Staying relevant for future fights

    Air Commandos from Air Force Special Operations Command hosted a weapons and tactics conference here, July 6 – 16, 2021. This annual conference was a gathering of special operations forces and combat air force’s tactical experts to meet and identify and improve tactics, techniques and procedures with the purpose of conducting Mission Area Working Groups (MAWGs) and the annual Tactical Review Board (TRB) to bolster AFSOC’s Tactics Development and Improvement Program (TDIP).

    SOST member awarded Bronze Star Medal for life-saving actions

    U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. J Hall, a Special Operations Surgical Team surgical technician with the 720th Operations Support Squadron, receives the Bronze Star Medal from U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Hall was presented a BSM for his life-saving battlefield surgery actions while deployed in 2016. Special Operations Surgical Teams are highly-mobile, tailorable teams of surgical and emergency specialists trained to provide life-saving surgical care and trauma resuscitation on or near the battlefield.

    New program to help ISR aircrews cope with PTSD

    Finding targets by watching and listening is, by nature, intensely personal and can have a long-lasting effect, to include post-traumatic stress disorder, on the ISR Airmen involved. The 361st is developing a ‘Re-Fit’ program which will assist Airmen in overcoming existing mental health disorders and prevent future problems.
